If you plan on reaching for Jungfraujoch, the highest peak on the European continent - also known as Top of Europe, the best starting point is the Swiss town of Interlaken. There’s a circular train servicing those who wish to reach the top, going through miles of secular tunnels built inside the alpine mountains of Eiger and Mönsch. Once you reach the top, there are lots of activities you can do. As far as your eyes can see, glacial beauty baths the culm of the Alps.
Harder Kulm
Speaking of culm, consider visiting Harder Kulm if you’re longing for some breathtaking views. It’s a much shorter ride than going all the way up to Jungfrau. Located at a 1,305 meters (or 4,281 feet) height, the top observation deck will present an unforgettable bird’s eye sight of Interlaken and Unterseen, including Lakes Thun and Brienz and the eternal snowy peaks of the Alps.
