Renowned for its scenic mountain views, chic watch shops and finest chocolate, Interlaken is undoubtedly a traveler’s paradise. This gateway to some of the most iconic mountains in Switzerland is also well-known for its classic, rock and country music festivals. Interlaken’s music festival starts with a classical performance in early April and reaches its climax with a summer rock festival in June.
1. The Interlaken Classics 2023
“Meet today the classical stars of tomorrow” Interlaken invites young classic performers from around the world every year. If you like classical music, this is a great way how to discover young talented musicians.
Fun fact – The Interlaken Classics are among the oldest festival for classical music in Switzerland and today they focus on promoting the greatest young talents.
2. The Greenfield Festival 2023
Switzerland’s biggest annual rock festival has been held in Interlaken Airport every year since 2015. This year more than 40 international rock and punk bands will perform on the stage. In 2023, Slipknot, die Ärzte and Sabaton will be the headliners! Feel the powerful music and let yourself be immersed by the electrifying mood surrounded by an alpine scenery.
Fun fact – In 2022, the Greenfield festival has achieved the most visitors ever: 84,000 people!

3. Interlaken Trucker & Country Festival 2023
On July 1, 1994, the Trucker & Country Festival saw the light of day. Since then, the trucker festival in Interlaken has grown significantly. Over the years there were over 1 million visitors, 25,184 trucks, over 62,000 motorbikes, 334 different bands. Interlaken will again be hit by country music and trucker sounds this year. With around 30 live acts, plus real cowboy shows, CanCan girls and lots of line dancing – there’s really a lot going on here.
Fun fact – When the truckers are coming to Interlaken from highway with their own truck, they are honking quite loudly, but happily!
