Is paragliding also suitable for families or groups?

Yes, tandem flights are ideal for families, friends, or groups. Multiple pilots can take off at coordinated times, allowing several people to share the experience together.

Depending on the organization and weather conditions, flights can be scheduled so that everyone takes off or lands at roughly the same time. This makes paragliding especially exciting for families, groups of friends, or group outings.

Paragliding has something to offer for a wide range of preferences. Those who prefer a more relaxed experience can enjoy a leisurely scenic flight. Those looking for more action can work with the pilot to perform more dynamic maneuvers. Everything is tailored to the guest, the conditions, and safety.

Are children allowed to fly along on a paragliding trip?

Yes, children are allowed to fly if they meet the minimum age and weight requirements and feel comfortable doing so. In addition, consent from a parent or legal guardian is required.

For children, age and weight are important guidelines. But it’s just as important that the child feels comfortable with a professional—even if they’re a stranger. Our pilots are used to working with young passengers. Many have children of their own and know how to put children at ease and calmly explain the process.

For many families, a tandem flight is a special shared experience that allows children to fly safely with an experienced pilot.

Are there age or weight restrictions for paragliding?

Yes, there are guidelines designed to ensure safety. Typically, the minimum age is about six years, the minimum weight is around 25 kilograms, and the maximum weight is about 100 kilograms.

However, wind conditions and the pilot’s assessment on the day of the flight are always crucial factors. Depending on the weather, it may be necessary to reassess the weight and conditions more carefully.

Do I have to be athletic to go paragliding?

No, you don’t need any special athletic skills for a tandem flight. You should be able to run downhill for about 40 meters during takeoff.

The pilot is in complete control. As soon as you’re in the air, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight.

Can I go paragliding if I am afraid of heights?

Yes, that’s very possible. We regularly fly with guests who feel afraid of heights or a bit queasy before the flight. Many are surprised afterward at how calm and pleasant paragliding feels.

This is also because, when paragliding, you don’t see a fixed connection to the ground, as you would, for example, on a bridge or a tower. As a result, you often don’t experience the classic feeling of vertigo. After a short run-up, you take off gently and glide smoothly through the air.

Our pilots are used to dealing with nervousness. They explain each step clearly and take the time to make sure you feel confident before takeoff.
